Using peerblock may come in handy for downloading torrent, but it could also reduce your number of seeders, thus..it might slow down your download speed. Is there an encryption algorithm that allows for a single payload to have two different outputs based on the password? I rarely even download anything but this just started recently...for whatever reason. i noticed some unusual activity from this program called peerblock - an IP detecting and blocking program that i use frequently. Blocking the connection to known IPs of individuals or groups you do not want to allow connections to in your P2P client.
- Also, my PC is shutting off at random times during use, which didnt happen before i reset.
- Playing "whack a mole" with blocking IP addresses is not normally considered an efficient way to secure a host or network.

While it's not guaranteed 100% protection from receiving copyright strike letters atleast you're blocking the known IPs of these organizations rather than not having the lists and accepting their connections knowingly.
